Reverend Rob Paterson is the Regional Director for Converge MidAtlantic’s Central Ohio area and the Lead Pastor of New Hope Community Church in Loudonville, Ohio.
He is a graduate of Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and Indiana Wesleyan University, where he met and married his wife Bethany. The Paterson’s celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary last August and have planted and pastored churches in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Their sons, Christopher (17) and Liam (8), are a blast and continually add joy and meaning to their lives. Christopher loves the arts while Liam has his father’s competitive spirit. While Bethany grew up in Georgia & Michigan as an Air Force “military brat”, Rob grew up in Ontario, Canada. While he has lived more than half his life now in the USA, he became a citizen in April of 2015.
The Paterson family likes nothing more than investing in the lives of people and making a difference for the Kingdom of God. Bethany has an elementary education degree and has worked in many settings but is currently trying to launch a coffee house/community center. Rob’s main passions are leadership and transformational communication. He has been fortunate to speak at various camps, conferences, retreats, and churches across North America and around the world. Through vivid stories and timeless truth, his energetic and insightful style communicates powerfully to every generation
